Your Wedding Anniversary is a Bigger Deal Than You Think

Thirty-two years ago I took Tamara Ann Schroer to be my wife. Everything in my life changed that day, but not in the "rainbows and sunshine" kind of way like you might expect. Tami and I made many promises to God and each other that day, but the truth is that we really had no idea how much of a BIG DEAL those promises were — until now. On the day we married (April 20th, 1985), I knew that being with Tami made me very happy and I wanted as much of that happiness as I could possibly fit into my life. Getting married seemed like the best way to take that next step, and so we did…

Can Valentines Day Be More Than Candy Hearts?

We have all heard people grumble about Valentines Day as, "Just another opportunity for Hallmark to take your money." Please allow us to challenge you in your thinking because Valentines Day is an opportunity for you to do something meaningful for your spouse. Further, when you're married, you never want to miss a chance to do something meaningful! Here's Why You Need Great Friends ASAP

Today is my (Brad) birthday. Yes, happy birthday to me. Thank you.

And last night Tami arranged for us and 3 other couples to take the aerial tramway up to the top of Mount San Jacinto and have a nice dinner together. This is a cable-driven rotating gondola that took us from the valley floor at 2,643 feet to the tram station at the top which is at 8,516 feet. Oh, and the angle of incline is about 70 degrees in places (which feels like straight up). One more thing, it's the largest in the world. It is super duper cool!

Happy Anniversary to Us and Why it Should Matter to You Too!

Today is our anniversary. We have been married for thirty-one-derful years (that's 31). Why should you care? And why is this worthy of a blog post? We are so glad you've asked. According to our family statistics, Tami and I should NOT still be married. Between Tami's family and mine, there have been 13 divorces. THIRTEEN! In fact, Tami and I are the ONLY ones still enjoying their first marriage on either side of our families. Both sets of our parents have been divorced and every one of our siblings has as well. Some of them have been divorced more than once. This is not a judgement on our family members…
